
Course Description:
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental principles and concepts of Land Law. It explores the nature, ownership, and use of land, the rights and interests that may exist in it, and the legal mechanisms for their creation, transfer, and protection.
Students will examine the distinction between legal and equitable interests, the concept of possession and ownership, and the operation of the land registration system. The course also addresses key topics such as leases and licenses, mortgages, easements, covenants, and contemporary reforms in property law.
Through case analysis, statutory interpretation, and practical examples, learners will develop a clear understanding of how Land Law shapes property relations in both personal and commercial contexts.
